1. Cookie:

The website uses cookies and similar technologies to ensure proper operation of procedures and to improve users’ experience of online applications. This document provides detailed information on the use of cookies and similar technologies, how they are used by Itay Properties and how to manage them.

2. Definitions

Cookies are short fragments of text (letters and/or numbers) that allow the web server to store information on the client (the browser) to be reused during the same visit to the site (session cookies) or later, even after days (persistent cookies). Cookies are stored, according to user preferences from a single browser on the specific device being used (computer, tablet, smartphone).

Later in this document we shall refer to cookies and similar technologies all by simply using the word “cookie”.

3. Types of cookies

Depending on the characteristics and use of cookies, we may distinguish between different categories:

  • Technical cookies:
Cookies can be divided into navigation cookies, which ensure normal navigation and use of the website, analytical cookies, used by the operator of the website in aggregate form on the number of users and how they visit the site, functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a set of criteria selected in order to improve the service provided to the same.
  • Profiling cookies:
These cookies are designed to create user profiles and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user in the navigation. Our website does not use any cookie profiling.

4. Third-party cookies and external services

This website uses the following external services:

  1. Google Analytics
This is a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files that are stored on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) shall be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google shall use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relative to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required by law or where such third parties process the above information on Google’s behalf. Google shall not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may decline the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, but this may prevent you from using all features of the website. By using this website, you are giving consent to you personal data being processed by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.
For information on Privacy Policy of Google, please visit http://www.google.com/intl/it/privacy/privacy-policy.html

To disable analytical cookies and prevent Google Analytics from collecting data based on your navigation, you can download the browser add-on for deactivating Google Analytics: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

  2. Third-Party Cookies
When you visit a website you may receive cookies either from the website you visit (“owners”) or from websites operated by other organisations (“third parties”). A notable example is the presence of “social plugins” for Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn. These are web page elements generated directly by the websites and integrated into the pages of the host website. The most common use of social plugins is to share content on social networks.

These plugins require cookies to be sent to and from all websites operated by third parties. The management of information collected by “third parties” is governed by the relevant information which you should refer to. In order to ensure greater transparency and convenience, the following are the web addresses of the different information and methods for managing cookies.

5. Duration of the cookies.

Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until the browser is closed or the logout command is carried out. Other cookies “survive” the closure of the browser and are also available in future visits.

These cookies are called persistent and their duration is set by the server when they are created. In some cases this duration is fixed, in others it is unlimited.

By browsing the pages on our website, you may interact with websites operated by third parties that may create or modify persistent and profiling cookies.

6. Management of cookies

The user can decide whether to accept cookies using the settings on their browser.

Warning: the total or partial disabling of technical cookies may compromise the use of the site features reserved for registered users. Nonetheless, public contents can still be used when cookies are disabled completely.

Disabling “third-party” cookies does not affect the browsing experience in any way.

The setting can be defined specifically for different websites and web applications. Furthermore, the best browsers allow you to define different settings for “proprietary” cookies and those of “third parties”.

For example, in Internet Explorer under the Tools -> Options -> Privacy menu you can access a control panel and specify whether you want to accept certain cookies or even remove them.
